The team is scaling to deliver enterprise-grade solutions that optimise business processes and embed sustainable digital capabilities, with a present focus on solutions serving Finance, Reinsurance Operations and Actuarial Valuations teams.**About you**The Product & Technical Architect will be a member of the Digital Process Management Team and will combine deep technical architecture expertise with strong product design and delivery skills. You will shape the technical strategy for Appian-based workflows and automation, ensure robust and scalable solutions, and act as an internal consultant to help ensure developer-ready requirements and designs. This role bridges business needs and technical execution, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and maximising digital technology investment, with Appian at the core of this.You will provide oversight and technical guidance at all stages of our development cycle, including initial identification of business challenges, requirements definition and subsequent design, development of solutions, embedding of new capabilities into the business and ongoing monitoring of effectiveness of any embedded capabilities.**Key Responsibilities**Leadership & Mentoring:• Support our Appian developers, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical oversight. • Conduct training of team members to enhance Appian development skills. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between technical solutions and business goals. • Stay up-to-date with the latest Appian features, updates, and industry trends.Product & Design Ownership• Act as liaison between business stakeholders and development teams. • Facilitate workshops to gather requirements and define scope. • Translate business needs into scalable, developer-ready designs. • Shape and evolve the Digital Process operating model.Technical Architecture• Architect robust, modular, and reusable solutions aligned with best practices. • Ensure scalability, performance, and maintainability of workflows. • Integrate Appian with enterprise systems and external services. • Provide technical guidance on complex technical challenges and solutions. • Integrate Appian with other enterprise systems and external services to create seamless end-to-end solutions. • Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and methodologies that enhance the development process.Delivery & Quality Assurance• Oversee full software development lifecycle from requirements to post-launch support. • Troubleshoot technical issues during development and deployment.Quality Assurance:• Embed and maintain coding standards, best practices, and guidelines for the our development team. • Conduct thorough peer reviews and quality assurance of Appian applications to ensure they meet functional and performance requirements. • Create and maintain technical documentation for Digital applications, including architecture diagrams, design documents, and user guides.**Working For Pacific Life Re**Every person in our global team is valued for the unique qualities they bring to our business and we seek to build their expertise and support their individual ambitions at every step.
