Role Description

Symphony is seeking a creative and driven Associate Product Manager to help build the future of trader voice on our Cloud9 platform. You will be at the center of our mission to replace legacy hardware turrets with innovative, cloud‑based voice communication solutions for the world’s top financial institutions.

Working under the guidance of a Product Manager, you will play a key role in the entire product development lifecycle—from understanding the high‑stakes workflows of traders to guiding new voice capabilities through development and launch. You will be a central hub of communication, working closely with Engineering, Design, Sales, and our institutional clients to deliver a voice collaboration experience that is modern, compliant, and indispensable.

Responsibilities
  • Support the product definition and development process for the Cloud9 platform, from ideation and user research to launch and iteration.
  • Conduct deep market research into the trader voice ecosystem, competitive landscape, and the evolving needs of traders and compliance officers.
  • Gather, analyze, and synthesize qualitative and quantitative data—from client interviews, usage metrics, and support channels—to inform the product roadmap.
  • Assist in managing and prioritizing the product backlog, ensuring development efforts are focused on the highest‑impact features for the trader voice community.
  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements, user stories, and specifications for new voice features, integrations, and user experiences.
  • Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure a shared understanding of product goals and to facilitate the smooth execution of new capabilities.
  • Participate in go‑to‑market planning, working with marketing and sales to effectively articulate the value of new Cloud9 features to customers and prospects.
  • Create and maintain essential product documentation, including feature specifications and support materials for our global user base.
  • Monitor the performance of features post‑launch and report on key success metrics related to user adoption, system performance, and customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience in product management, business analysis, UX design, or a similar role within a software or technology company.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a talent for breaking down complex problems into actionable steps.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate concepts clearly and persuasively to different audiences.
  • A strong sense of empathy for users and a passion for building intuitive and impactful products that solve critical needs.
  • Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and adept at managing priorities in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
  • A proactive and collaborative mindset, with a natural curiosity and a drive to learn.
Nice‑To‑Haves
  • Previous experience or a strong interest in voice communications technologies (e.g., VoIP, WebRTC, SIP), unified communications, or contact center solutions.
  • Experience in Financial Technology (FinTech) or working with financial services clients.
  • Exposure to trading floor workflows, financial compliance standards (e.g., MiFID II), or products with a hardware/software component.
  • Hands‑on experience querying and visualizing data using tools like SQL, DOMO, or modern product analytics platforms.
  • Experience conducting formal user research (interviews, usability tests) and working on products with developer APIs.
