The role

As a Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist, you’ll lead the delivery of strategic sourcing and supplier management activity within the Through Life Equipment Support (TLES) business. This hands‑on role supports the operational delivery of the White Fleet service contract as it enters its next phase under the Phoenix 3 agreement. You’ll have the opportunity to influence supplier relationships, drive operational improvements, and contribute to a global procurement function that leverages best‑in‑class systems and networks.

Day‑to‑day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for key spend categories such as Vehicle Leasing, Hire, and Transport Services
  • Oversee end‑to‑end procurement processes and ensure compliance with public procurement regulations and Babcock governance
  • Act as the UK MOD’s procurement agent, managing complex sourcing and contract activities
  • Negotiate supplier terms and conditions to manage risk and deliver value
  • Drive operational improvements and maintain strong supplier relationships.

This role is full time working 37.5 hours per week and is based on site, in Bristol.

Essential experience of the Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist
  • Proven experience in an end‑to‑end procurement role, including leading tenders and supplier negotiations
  • Strong commercial understanding of supplier contracts and risk management
  • Ability to manage conflict and challenging situations.
