Job description
About the role:

This role will sit within the Exile Group, in the data department. The role will focus on all three of the groups’ brands. This is a Junior role that will focus on data analysis, including reporting for clients, creating dashboards to help them extract value from it, helping journalists to tell stories using the data and using different strategies to capture and classify data including machine learning and data scraping. The location for the first 3 to 6 months will be in Madrid (where the head of data & product is), but there will be a relocation opportunity to London after the training is completed. We offer a self-employed contract first because the company does not have a presence in Spain, but the company will support the visa application process and offer a contract in the UK if the successful candidate wishes to relocate after the training period.

About you:

We are looking for an individual with a lot of initiative and curiosity, capable of working independently and keen to take responsibility for different tasks.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Creation and maintenance of data dashboards
  • Data updates on different report templates and work with editorial on these
  • Interaction with clients, including the creation of advanced data reports in excel
  • Data support to other company departments including editorial, research, and creation of data presentations for speakers at events
  • Maintenance of data scraping tools
Knowledge & Experience:

In order to succeed in this role, it is expected that you will ideally have the following:

  • Advanced knowledge of PowerBI and Excel
  • Database extractions in SQL, relational databases
  • Powerpoint basic knowledge
  • Python knowledge also desired (Pandas, Sklearn)
  • Fluent in English
