Where will you be working?

At M Group Water we help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. This role will join BGEN – one of the UK's largest multidisciplinary design and build contractors with over 100 years of industry experience. We support clients in the water, power & energy, pharmaceutical, nuclear and food and beverage industries to deliver next generation, value-added engineering solutions.

What will you be doing?

You’ll lead projects within BGEN’s client frameworks, offering expert guidance and sustainable design solutions that balance technical, cost, and schedule needs. You’ll carry out audits, feasibility studies, and risk assessments, while supporting bids and reviewing tenders. From managing design subcontracts to delivering detailed electrical designs, your leadership ensures quality and efficiency. You’ll mentor team members, drive operational improvements, and provide clear, practical advice. With a strong grasp of design standards and CDM 2015 responsibilities, you’ll help shape successful outcomes and foster a collaborative, forward-thinking engineering environment.

What You’ll Bring
  • Degree in electrical engineering or related field
  • Experience as Principal Electrical Engineer across multiple industries
  • Strong background in regulated construction projects and full project lifecycle
  • Skilled in British Standards, CDM 2015 duties, and LV/HV systems
  • Familiar with AutoCAD, Revit, DIALux, SKM, and digital engineering tools
  • Knowledge of hazardous area design and quality assurance practices
  • Passionate about mentoring and improving operational efficiency
