We’re seeking an experienced pricing specialist to join our team in Birmingham.

Our internal sales team are responsible for providing quotes to move cargo around the world for our customers and agents. Liaising with our customers and supplier network including hauliers, shipping lines, and overseas agents to secure the best price and service.

The role involves:

  • Negotiating rates with carriers, hauliers, and suppliers
  • Preparing and issuing customer quotations and proposals
  • Communicating with customers to manage and follow up on quotes
  • Adjusting pricing to secure new opportunities
  • Building lasting relationships while delivering top-tier customer service.

All colleagues undertake general office duties including answering the phone, filing and dealing with the post.

The role requires:

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisation
  • Experience working under pressure and to deadlines
  • Commercial awareness and knowledge of ocean freight operations
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills
  • A team player
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Committed, motivated, energetic, and fun with a positive can-do attitude
  • Flexible with a willingness to get involved in all aspects of the day-to-day business
  • Ability to work well whilst under time constraints with a ‘right first-time’ approach.

Location
