Job Description
We’re looking for a skilled Power & Environment Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary team in North London. You’ll deliver technical engineering services focusing on mechanical and electrical servicing, repairs, maintenance, and installations. Travel across the region will be required with occasional overnight stays.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot faults and perform corrective maintenance
- Test and validate new power systems
- Ensure compliance with safety, industry, and regulatory standards
- Drive continuous improvement and stay updated on technical developments
- Collaborate with internal teams and third-party contractors
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting
- Respond to service outages and participate in 24/7 callout rota
- Stay current with developments in electrical engineering and power systems
- Support upgrades and modifications to existing systems
- Install, commission, and maintain power and environmental systems
- Engage positively with customers and uphold company standards
- Work safely in line with Health & Safety and SHE policies
Must-Haves
- Full UK driving licence
- City & Guilds 2382 – 18th Edition Regulations
- Previous field service experience or completion of an approved electrical apprenticeship
- Working knowledge of power supplies, HVAC systems, ACBs, generator systems, static UPSs, and static switches
- Familiarity with Safety, Health and Environment legislation and procedures
- Willingness to travel and stay overnight when required
Skills
- Strong understanding of power systems and electrical/environmental engineering principles
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies and tools
- Proficiency with diagnostic engineering tools and software
- Analytical and technical problem-solving abilities
