Job description

We have a new opportunity for a Power Automation Developer to join our Solutions Delivery team in AXA UK.

Reporting into the Intelligent Automation Technical Lead, you’ll develop Microsoft Power App and Power Automate projects to deliver digital solutions across our businesses. You’ll contribute to the design, development and support of business applications built using Microsoft Power Platform with a focus on Power Apps and Power Automate. You’ll work closely with business stakeholders, automation design, and testing to deliver automated solutions that meet business needs and adhere to all necessary governance and regulations.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. We’re also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Delivering Microsoft Power Apps and Power Platform solutions, taking projects through the automation design, development, test and deployment life cycle
  • Demonstrating expert understanding of modern security practices and standards where the role requires
  • Working with stakeholders to ensure the delivery plans and product improvements are aligned to business goals
  • Demonstrating an ability to research, design and implement technical solutions that meet stakeholder needs and deliver tangible benefit to our business
  • Leading continuous improvement of the wider automation community and act in a mentoring capacity
  • Identifying potential improvements through automation tools, articulating these ideas clearly
  • Ensuring the quality of automations by rigorous testing and reviewing where applicable
  • Building a strong network of relationships across the business, to facilitate the delivery of accurate and timely automations, including defect fixes and new projects
What you’ll bring:
  • Experience delivering automation solutions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate; understanding of environments, security roles, role based permissions and service accounts, canvas and model driven apps
  • Understanding of basic database concepts and data modelling within Microsoft Dataverse
  • Knowledge of coding standards and best practices specific to Microsoft Power Platform
  • Experience with CI/CD tools within Azure DevOps or Power Platform
  • Ability to communicate complex and technical ideas clearly, no matter the audience
  • Proficiency in using relevant source control tools like Git and understanding of branching strategies
  • Strong attention to detail

As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.

What we offer:
  • Competitive annual salary dependent on experience
  • Annual company & performance-based bonus
  • Contributory pension scheme (up to 12% employer contributions)
  • Life Assurance (up to 10 x annual salary)
  • Private medical cover
  • 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays
  • Opportunity to buy up to 5 extra days leave or sell up to 5 days leave
  • Wellbeing services & resources
  • AXA employee discounts
