Job description

The University of Aberdeen is looking to appoint 2 enthusiastic and motivated Porter Drivers within the Estates and Facilities Directorate to assist in the provision of a logistics and mailing service between University buildings across both Kings College and Foresterhill Campuses.

Job Description

Working hours will be based on a core Monday to Friday day shift working pattern, although some flexibility in respect of working hours is required. Duties will be undertaken at Kings or Foresterhill Campuses, and will include the delivery, collection and movement of goods, mail, furniture and equipment, and opening and securing of allocated buildings throughout the day.

The successful candidate will be provided with a uniform and protective clothing, and will receive appropriate training.

Applicants must have good written and oral communication skills and should be educated to standard grade level (or equivalent). Applicants must also have held a full driving licence (Category B) for a minimum of 1 year.

Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 2 salary scale (£24,689 - £25,005 per annum) with placement according to qualifications and experience.
