Plumber (Multi Skilled)

The closing date is 28 December 2025

The Estates Department are looking to enhance their maintenance team and would like to add a full time, Band 5, Multi Skilled Plumber to their team of staff.

You will work as a member of the Estates team across multi-disciplined trades.

Main duties of the job

You will provide comprehensive plumbing services to all wards and departments in a multi-disciplined environment, ensuring compliance with Trust safety standards and procedures.

You will provide emergency response and undertake on-call duties as part of the on-call team to ensure that emergency repairs occurring out of normal hours are attended to. You must possess a level 3 Electrical Engineering qualification or equivalent.

Qualifications
  • City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 Plumbing and Domestic Heating
  • Recognised Apprenticeship
  • Multi-skill qualification i.e., NVQ level 1 or 2 in another trade or a multi-skill qualification
Knowledge, Training & Experience
  • Post qualification experience working as a plumber.
  • Current full driving licence
  • Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Have a good level of written and verbal English skills.
  • Computer literate and keyboard skills including understanding the use of outlook, handheld devices
  • Working in a team

  • Experience of working in an Acute Hospital/Healthcare environment.
