Pipefitting Instructor Assessor

Location: Tipton

Contract type: Permanent

We are seeking a Pipefitting Instructor to deliver training, provide guidance, and assess learners. The role involves teaching, monitoring, coaching, and conducting pre‑employment assessments and testing. The instructor will support both internal training programs and external delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execution: Build a basic understanding of company‑wide and discipline codes, standards and working practices to perform basic engineering tasks in line with Business Operating Procedures (BOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs). Provide a support service as required by the Project Engineering Manager or Project Manager to deliver quality and timely technical outputs.
  • Governance: Comply with national laws/regulations and adhere to company‑wide & discipline BOPs and WIs to act in line with standardised working practices.
  • Innovation: Be aware of the need for development innovation at more senior levels and begin to build an awareness of expectations in this area to contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Communication: Understand the need for and begin to build up a basic internal relationship network to leverage expertise, influence decision making and satisfy requirements.
  • People Development: Take accountability for their own personal Professional Development Record as part of Altrad’s talent management ethos.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Trade‑specific Level 3 qualification
  • Instructional Techniques: City & Guilds, Cert Ed, PTLLS, CTLLS or DTTLS
  • Assessor qualifications: TDLB D32/D33, A1, or TAQA
  • Verifier qualifications: TDLB D34, V1, or IQA; CCNSG Safety Passport; ECITB ACIC Approval
  • Previously qualified and with an up‑to‑date competence in the specific trade skill within the Engineering Construction Industry
