A regional healthcare provider in Carlisle is seeking a Rotational Band Pharmacist to join their dynamic pharmacy team. This role offers a supportive training program for newly qualified pharmacists, providing diverse clinical experiences across departments. The position entails managing technical and clinical services while ensuring high-quality patient care. Applications are invited from pharmacists looking for a new challenge, or those qualifying this year to join our band 6 and 7 pharmacist team.
Our well‑established rotational pharmacist training programme will give you the support you need as you begin your career journey in hospital pharmacy. You will join the newly qualified pharmacist training programme when you start with us and gain a broad wealth of experience in a variety of clinical settings: emergency admissions, respiratory disease, cardiology, stroke, cancer services, surgery, dispensary and aseptic services.
You will be supported by an advanced specialist pharmacist in each rotation and Station to a band 7 post following an appropriate training period and competency assessment, which will include studying for a postgraduate diploma in clinical pharmacy practice. There will be the opportunity to study for a prescribing qualification or other postgraduate qualifications as necessary.
We also provide a clinical and dispensary service 7 days per week and an on‑call service.
