Job description
Overview

Part time (22.5 hours)- 9am to 5pm

An outgoing and caring Personal Trainer is required to work with patients/service users with learning disabilities, mental health conditions and complex needs.

The ideal candidate will be calm, understanding and possess the ability to motivate and engage. Although you will be based at our hospital in Baldock you will perform a mobile service, travelling to our Care and Nursing Homes across our eight sites providing a high level of support.

The role will include working with small groups or one to one work with people with Mental Health needs or a Learning Disability. Full training in Mental Health and Learning Disability support is given in addition to supervision and practice support from the Therapies team.

This is truly rewarding role which can make a huge positive difference to the lives of our service users and patients.

Responsibilities
  • Driving licence
  • A recognised formal qualification as a Personal Trainer
  • GCSE in Maths and English
  • Strong communication skills
  • Comfortable being hands-on with patients
  • Previous experience of working as a Physiotherapist Assistant or Personal Trainer
