Hours

15 hours per week

Shift options: 8:30 am–1:30 pm, 1:30 pm–6:30 pm, 6:30 pm–8:30 am (including overnight support)

Pay

£12.82 per hour

Job Overview

Personal Assistants (Support Workers) play a vital role within Enable by making a positive difference every day to the lives of the people we support. No two days are the same, but we guarantee you will support someone who requires assistance to achieve their goals and outcomes – whatever they may be.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care, moving and handling support, and positive behavioural support to meet individual needs.
  • Expand and nurture social networks and connections for the people we support.
  • Collaborate with the bespoke team dedicated to each individual to ensure safety, wellbeing and aspirations are met.
  • Respect and support the individual's independence, respecting their wishes, interests, and lifestyle.
Meet Annie

Annie lives in her own flat in Edinburgh and is supported to live independently. She enjoys spending time with her team, has a physical disability, is fully capable intellectually, and has many qualifications. She likes laughter, rugby, the library, shopping at Sainsbury’s, Netflix, Disney+, sports, music, and especially enjoys her Christmas traditions. Annie needs a dedicated, compassionate, person‑centred team that respects her wishes, provides the physical support she requires, and shares her interests.
