About the Role

Location: South Gloucestershire, BS15 (at employer’s home and some community-based tasks)

Hourly Rate: £12.40 (PAYE)

Start Date: January

Miss D is seeking a reliable, friendly, and open-minded Personal Assistant to support her at home and in the community. She lives with ME, fibromyalgia, and chronic pain, and requires assistance to manage daily tasks and maintain independence. Miss D is a mother of four, enjoys music and reading. She also has two pet cats.

The role involves supporting Miss D with a mixture of domestic, practical, and family-related tasks.

Key Tasks
  • Bulk meal preparation.
  • Domestic tasks: laundry, shopping, cleaning, ironing, and general household upkeep.
  • Parenting support: assisting with domestic tasks for the children and preparing meals.
  • Personal care support (currently minimal; may include assistance with washing in the future)
  • Supporting Miss D with tasks both inside and outside the home.
Working Pattern
  • Preferred hours: Monday to Friday, 10:30am – 12:30pm in the home
  • Additional flexible hours for tasks such as shopping and ironing
  • Some flexibility may be available for the right candidate, but working within the school day is preferred.
Requirements & Preferences
  • Full driving licence.
  • Open-minded and respectful of all faiths — Miss D practices Islam and values an accepting, inclusive approach.
  • Comfortable working around cats.
  • If you smoke, you must be willing to smoke outside only.
