Role Summary:

We’re looking for a Performance Marketing Manager to lead the strategy and real-time optimisation of our paid digital campaigns across multiple platforms. Working in a fast-paced, 24-hour news environment, you’ll play a key role in driving measurable growth, maximising ROI, and ensuring our campaigns respond dynamically to breaking news, audience behaviour, and cultural moments. You’ll partner closely with the wider marketing team, as well as content, creative and editorial to deliver high-impact campaigns that support acquisition, engagement, and retention across the GB News Community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, set up, and manage paid media campaigns across Apple, Google, Meta, YouTube, and other digital platforms.
  • Optimise campaigns in real-time, responding to breaking news, trending topics, and audience behavior to maximise engagement and conversions.
  • Collaborate closely with different teams to align campaigns with live editorial priorities, retention programs and promotional calendars.
  • Implement and maintain accurate tracking and reporting to measure campaign performance daily, ensuring rapid decision-making.
  • Conduct ongoing audience research and segmentation to improve targeting and campaign relevance.
  • Stay ahead of platform updates, trends, and best practices, working closely with platform partners to continually improve campaign performance.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to scale campaigns and maximise ROI.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Proven experience managing paid digital campaigns.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting campaign data to drive optimisations.
  • Hands‑on experience with campaign setup, tracking, optimisation, and reporting.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with editorial, creative and product teams.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to prioritise multiple campaigns simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing attribution models, tracking tools, and analytics platforms.
  • Qualification in marketing or similar field preferred.
