The manor has four restaurants, an extraordinary 3,000 sq metre Roman-inspired spa- Eynsham Baths, 108 bedrooms and a gym with class studios and padel courts. Plus, there’s a kids’ club for the little ones and a workspace. As the countryside companion to Maison Estelle, the manor is also a ‘hosted home’, bringing people together that have plenty to say and nothing to prove.

As a People & Culture Advisor you’ll be the go-to expert for managers and colleagues on all things people-related, offering guidance and advice on absence management, family leave, reporting, and ER casework. You’ll play a key role in shaping a positive workplace culture through proactive policy development, accurate data insights, and day-to-day support. The on target earning potential for this role is £37,500 per annum based on a 40 hour contract - comprising a base salary of £34,500, plus a qualified estimate of £3,000 in gratuities and service charge*. Please note this role is paid hourly so this is a projected salary and OTE.

What you’ll do:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers and leaders on employee relations, combining sound legal knowledge with a fair, empathetic, and people-first approach

  • Build strong, credible relationships across the Manor, influencing positively at all levels

  • Lead and embed positive absence management practices, supporting managers to take confident, consistent action

  • Manage family leave processes, providing clear guidance and best-practice advice

  • Deliver meaningful people insights and reporting that inform decisions and drive improvement

  • Advise on flexible working, balancing operational needs with fairness and inclusion

  • Support the People & Culture Business Partners on key People Strategy initiatives, including manager capability and engagement

  • Champion a culture of inclusion, respect, recognition, and open feedback

  • Support leaders in creating high-performing environments where people feel valued and heard

What you’ll have:

  • CIPD Level 3 or equivalent HR qualifications with solid knowledge of UK employment law.

  • Experience delivering HR advisory services in ER, absence management, policy development, and reporting.

  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to analyse HR data to identify trends.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; able to liaise confidently with all levels.

  • Empathetic, discreet, and proactive approach to people matters

  • Experience with HRIS systems and comfortable managing sensitive employee data.
