Qualifications

  • Previous experience working as a Technician / Mechanic.
  • Ideally hold a qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
  • Or possess time served Technician experience.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out PDI’s and RI’s according to manufacturer’s procedures.
  • Ensure all work complies with PDI standard times.
  • Work with the parts team to fit the correct parts to vehicles.

Who are we looking for as a PDI Technician:
  • You will have previous experience working as a Technician / Mechanic within the HGV, Commercial Vehicle, LGV, PSV, Heavy Plant, Car or an associated sector.
  • Ideally have a qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
  • Or a time served Technician.
  • Full UK driving licence.
The PDI Technician role / responsibilities include (but not limited to):

Ensure PDI’s and RI’s are carried out according to manufacturer’s procedures and in a safe and responsible manner. Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with PDI standard times. Work with the parts team to make sure the correct parts are fitted to the vehicles. Confirm that PDI and RI sheets are completed as per manufacturer/customer instructions. Adhere to all relevant Type Approval regulations.

Working hours: Week 1, Monday – Friday 8am – 4:30pm. Week 2, Monday – Friday 10am – 6:30pm.
