As a result of our expansion plans, and our continued ongoing success we are seeking a dynamic Payroll Clerk to be based at our Head Office in Plymouth. You will be assisting in the day-to-day payroll workload, working closely alongside the other members of the payroll team reporting to the Payroll Manager and the Assistant Payroll Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting and working with the payroll team to assist in the process the 4-weekly payroll.
  • Supporting the team in the development and implementation of all payroll processes and routines for both hourly and salaried colleagues.
  • Oversee and check key areas of the payroll activity, to ensure accuracy and compliance including new starters, promotions, and leavers.
  • Prepare and input data into the payroll system.
  • Production of payroll reports.
  • Resolving payroll queries while providing excellent customer service.
  • Support key business projects to provide guidance on Payroll processes and legislative requirements.
  • Ad hoc Admin /Office duties.
Person Specification
  • Up to date knowledge of using IT computer systems.
  • The ability to communicate with colleagues of all levels.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • A good eye for detail.
  • The ability to work to strict deadlines.
  • A strong understanding of confidentiality and GDPR.
