Darlington Borough Council’s Partnerships Team delivers a broad and varied programme of projects and initiatives. It oversees structures that allow the Council to work with local businesses, voluntary and community organisations and other public bodies and also facilitates the work of independent Boards. The team is focused on delivery, organising the delivery or community focused interventions, often funded by central government. The team is responsible for delivering Darlington’s 10-year Pride In Place programme, the majority of which is to deliver capital investment.

As Project Support Officer, you will be the at the heart of the machine ensuring the programme is delivered effectively, efficiently and smoothly. You will need strong organisational skills ensuring that there is robust administration. You will also need to be able to work well within a team, learning what is required to support the team deliver the programme effectively. The role will provide an opportunity to be involved in a wide range of activities from community engagement to liaising with central government departments and working with other parts of the Council. You will be able to pick up skills quickly which would give you a broad range of options for your future career.
