A local government body in the Tees Valley is seeking a Project Support Officer. The role involves ensuring effective delivery of community-focused projects and engaging with various stakeholders, including central government. Darlington Borough Council’s Partnerships Team delivers a broad and varied programme of projects and initiatives. It oversees structures that allow the Council to work with local businesses, voluntary and community organisations and other public bodies and also facilitates the work of independent Boards. The team is focused on delivery, organising the delivery of community‑focused interventions, often funded by central government. The team isTürkiye responsible for delivering Darlington’s 10‑year Pride In Place programme, the majority of which is to deliver capital investment.
As Project Support Officer, you will be at the heart of the machine ensuring the programme is delivered effectively, efficiently and smoothly. You will need strong organisational skills to ensure robust administration, and you will be able to work well within a team, learning what is required to support the team deliver the programme effectively. The role will provide an opportunity to be involved in a wide range of activities from community engagement to liaising with central government departments and عهد working with other parts of the Council. You will be able to pick up skills quickly which would give you a broad range of options for your future career.
