The range listed reflects the entire range and typical placement is entry to mid range.Pay Range - $15.16/hr - $20.99/hr Position Purpose Performs maintenance to parks, athletic fields, buildings, and facilities, including mowing, irrigation and fertilization.Work Schedule - Qualified candidates must be available on Saturdays, 5:30 PM-11:30 PM. **This will be a** **required shift during the season of play.**Job Functions/Scope of Authority Work closely with full time positions in daily field prep and rainout procedures. Tournament support on weekends for various user groups. Preparation of athletic fields to include: baseball, softball, soccer and lacrosse. Ability to operate field equipment. Prepares fields for games including dragging infield, chalking according to specified dimensions, watering infield, and setting bases. Performs other field maintenance duties include filling infield holes and adding clay to infield when necessary.Maintains safety and playability of athletic fields. Performs all maintenance tasks on athletic fields and sports turf areas including raking fields, sweeping, blowing and picking up clippings, paper, trash and other debris from athletic fields and surrounding grounds. Operates, inspects and maintains equipment for safe and proper operation including but not limited to push mowers, light duty vehicles, blowers, trimmers, edgers, and backpack weed sprayers. Essential Job FunctionsDrag, line, paint and setup baseball/softball/soccer/football/lacrosse fields at athletic complexes and parks as needed for all user groups including baseball programs, girls' softball program, football, lacrosse, soccer and any related tournament rentals.
