A healthcare provider in the UK is seeking a qualified pharmacy technician to join their team at Torbay Hospital. In this role, you will dispense medicines, manage stock, and provide excellent customer service. Qualifications include registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council and strong communication skills. SDH Developments Ltd, a wholly‑owned subsidiary of Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust, provides pharmacy services to patients and visitors attending the Outpatients Department at Torbay Hospital. We are looking for a qualified pharmacy technician, or one prepared to train as an accuracy‑checking technician, to join our team.
In this role you will dispense medicines for patients, order and receive stock, and be involved in the provision of an efficient and effective front‑of‑house service, including the sale of medicines. Accuracy‑checking technicians will also be required to undertake a final accuracy check on prescriptions.
You will be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council and will bring excellent communication, organisational and customer‑service skills, and be an effective team player.
Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust is recognised at a national level as a progressive and successful organisation. The primary objectives of this outpatient pharmacy are to improve patient safety, improve the patient experience, and to allow further investment in healthcare facilities in South Devon.
