Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced Orthotist who is looking for an opportunity to develop their career within our Staffordshire team. The role will be based across Staffordshire region covering our Orthotic Services in Stoke, Burton and Cannock. The successful candidate will work with an experienced and enthusiastic clinical team, supportive administrative staff and have access to local workshop facilities and technicians for adjustments and alterations. This role will provide an opportunity for an ambitious Clinician to step into a position that will challenge them and provide opportunities to develop clinically across a range of practice areas. The role will be instrumental in developing and implementing service improvements for the betterment of Patients in the Staffordshire area. We aim to deliver a first-class service for users whilst applying the most advanced clinical and technical solutions available to patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality care for all patients and the smooth running of the service.
  • Working closely with multi-disciplinary teams (MDT’s).
  • Inputting and leading on initiatives within the service development plan.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessment of patients to determine their orthotic needs.
  • Develop and implement personalised orthotic treatment plans.
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in orthotic technology and practices.
  • Provide excellent patient care, education, and support throughout the treatment process.
  • Assessing, measuring, casting, fitting, supplying, reviewing and adjusting orthoses as required.
  • Maintaining appropriate clinical notes.
Skills & Experience:
  • A minimum of 2 years work experience.
  • Demonstrated experience of complex casework in adult and paediatric care.
  • Self-starter with a flexible and pro-active approach.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships through effective verbal and written communication.
Qualifications:

The successful candidate must possess one of the following qualifications:

  • Certified Orthotist
  • HND Orthotics
  • BSc Orthotics

And in addition, must have:

  • Full HCPC Registration
  • A valid UK Driving Licence
  • The ability to meet the requirements of an Enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) Check
