An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Orthopaedic team, primarily based in our outpatients department.
As an Orthopaedic Practitioner, you will have direct responsibility for the proficient application and removal of a variety of casting materials, the role is across three sites, ensuring patients receive a professional, efficient, and compassionate service.
These include our new Fracture Clinic in the Louisa Martindale Building at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton which opened in 2023. This new building allowed us to provide modern facilities for patients and staff.
We also work from the Royal Alexandra Children's Hospital in Brighton and the Sussex Orthopaedic Treatment Centre Outpatients department based at the Princess Royal Hospital in Haywards Heath.
We primarily work within the hours of Monday - Friday 08:30 - 17:30 - this role is intended as full time but part time may be considered.
This role will base you primarily at the Royal Sussex County Hospital which is the Major Trauma Centre for the Sussex Trauma Network, but you will be expected to work cross site.
You will primarily work within the plaster room supporting the running of clinics that require plaster room input, you will also need to ensure Orthopaedic inpatients have access to plaster services.
Our Orthopaedic Practitioner team are required to complete their competency based training for certain tasks which you would be supported with as you progress.

This role is eligible for visa sponsorship under the UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI) Skilled Worker route.
