A role you will love
As the Cloud Ops Lead, you will oversee release and deployment management, Oracle access management, and the operational support of cloud infrastructure and integration environments. You will manage vendor teams and internal resources to deliver robust L2/L3 support for Oracle Cloud apps, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
Some other key responsibilities:
Ensure all release and deployment activities are delivered effectively for Oracle Fusion Cloud apps, maintaining robust control and auditability of changes deployed to production.
Provide line management for Cloud Ops Engineers, including managing on-call rotas, setting objectives, and supporting professional development.
Oversee application support and incident management for CRM on Demand and Eloqua, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and service requests.
Monitor and manage vendor teams supporting cloud infrastructure and integration environments, ensuring service levels are met and performance is optimised.
Monitor incident resolution SLAs, actively work to reduce product support queues, and collaborate with vendors to improve service delivery.
Identify monitoring gaps and risks, working with technical teams to resolve issues.
What will you bring to the role?
As this is a technical role, you will need to have experience working in a similar Oracle Cloud Ops role ideally within a large complex business. In this role, you will need to have excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills to effectively work with other team members, vendors and cross functional stakeholders.
You will need to have a strong understanding of Cloud Infrastructure concepts, integration environments, and vendor management.
Some other key skills you will have:
Good knowledge & experience in Oracle Fusion HCM, ERP, SCM, Oracle EPM, Fusion Data Intelligence, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, CRM on Demand, Eloqua. Any Oracle certification in these modules would be a plus.
Project or programme management experience or certification (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, Agile).
Experience with automation tools such as Rapid4Cloud
Evidence of continuous professional development in cloud technologies, service management, and operational excellence.
Proficiency in L2/L3 support processes, operational troubleshooting, and service request fulfilment.
Exposure to coordinating and executing release and deployment activities for cloud applications, with an understanding of change control and auditability.
