Base Location: Medway Power Station - Isle of Grain

Salary: £43,704 - £51,484 +shift allowance £12.8K and 20% skills shortage (OTE £64-73K) + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Permanent- Shift Work

We are looking to recruit an Operations technician for our 735 MW CCGT power plant

You will

  • Operate, monitor, and control gas turbines, steam turbines, HRSGs, pumps and water treatment plantsvia the DCIScontrol system.

  • Identify and diagnose operational issues reporting defects via our electronic reporting system.

  • Conduct routine operational checks, plant testing, and inspections to maintain performance and reliability.

  • Take part in continuous improvement and development projects to enhance plant efficiency and your own technical knowledge.

  • Ensure all operations are carried out in line with health, safety, and environmental best practices.

You have

  • Operational experience in power generation or a transferable background in heavy industry.

  • A relevant engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).

  • A strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental compliance.

  • A team-focused, detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and problem-solving skill
