Overnight accommodation available if required whilst on duty.****Will have to undergo a DBS check, which the company will arrange.**Role Overview We are looking for an**Operations Support Manager**to support the effective delivery of services across our **Shetland Portfolio**. This role requires strong leadership, commercial awareness and the ability to maintain high standards while building positive relationships with clients, teams and stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Delivery and Contract Management • Support the management of the on-site contracts, ensuring all standards, deadlines and performance targets are achieved. • Maximise contract profitability and manage costs effectively. • Work with clients, Sodexo teams and service leads to ensure delivery of all agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs). • Promote Sodexo strategies, best practices and company values across the operating area. • Ensure statutory requirements, company policies and procedures are consistently followed. • Build strong, long-term relationships with clients based on trust and added value. • Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing team to deliver outstanding service quality. • Support the General Services Manager and Regional Manager in shaping operational strategy to meet evolving client needs. • Drive continuous improvement across people, systems, processes and services. • Identify commercial opportunities to support business development and regional growth.Client, Customer and Commercial Focus • Maintain a strong understanding of all services included in the client contracts. • Develop full knowledge of contract terms, payment mechanisms, variation procedures and KPI implications. • Ensure full compliance with contractual, commercial and legal requirements. • Manage costs efficiently for both Sodexo and the client. • Adhere to Sodexo contract compliance policies and procedures. • Promote and uphold Sodexo’s Zero Harm approach to health and safety. • Lead or support regular safety briefings on food safety, health and safety, fire safety and other statutory or client requirements. • Oversee accurate billing and invoicing using E-Prophit or associated systems.. • Ensure compliance with Business Health Checks and audit requirements.Leadership and People Management • Lead the onboarding process, ensuring full compliance with legislation and Sodexo policies. • Ensure training and development plans are in place, covering legislative training, on-the-job development and succession planning. • Carry out performance reviews for direct reports and oversee reviews for frontline teams. • Promote Sodexo’s Employee Value Proposition to support engagement and performance. • Support operational shifts and other service areas when required.Innovation and Improvement • Maintain continuous professional development within your specialism. • Identify opportunities to enhance service quality, efficiency and value for money.Brand, Culture and Community • Promote Sodexo as an employer of choice, raising awareness within the local community and building relationships with key stakeholders. • Support the wellbeing of employees and uphold Sodexo values and brand standards. • Drive service excellence across quality, compliance, corporate social responsibility and brand integrity. • Prioritise workload effectively for yourself and others, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and capability. • Foster trust and collaboration across site teams. • Support cross-site synergies and effective client relationship management. • Maintain robust financial performance and champion continuous improvement.Skills and Experience • Experience in operational management within a similar environment. • Strong leadership and people management capability. • Ability to interpret financial and commercial information. • Excellent communication skills. • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Positive approach to learning and development. • Self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently and as part of a team. • Experience delivering training. • Competent user of Microsoft Office. • IOSH Managing Safely (or willingness to achieve this). • Experience balancing the expectations of clients and consumers within a single operation.Working with Sodexo offers the opportunity to be part of something meaningful.
