Job description
Operations Manager – Fulfilment & Dispatch

Location: Paddock Wood, Kent (On Site Role)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 12:00pm – 10:00pm

IMPACT EVOLVE is proud to be supporting a fast-growing eCommerce fulfilment business in their search for an Operations Manager to lead outbound warehouse operations and drive performance across a busy, high-volume dispatch function.

This business is experiencing rapid growth, processing tens of thousands of customer orders every day, and is seeking an ambitious and hands‑on leader to take full ownership of outbound fulfilment. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring every order leaves on time, accurately, and to the highest quality standards, while developing a high-performing team culture built on energy, accountability, and continuous improvement.

The Opportunity

As Operations Manager, you’ll lead and inspire a team of 20–30 warehouse operatives within the outbound pick and pack operation, taking charge of all aspects of despatch performance and output. You’ll bring structure, motivation, and leadership to the evening shift, ensuring every team member knows what great looks like and has the tools and drive to deliver it.

Working closely with the wider fulfilment and customer operations teams, you’ll help to embed better processes, improve efficiency, and strengthen reporting, KPIs, and SLAs while fostering a culture where performance, communication and ownership come first.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage outbound fulfilment operations to ensure orders are processed and dispatched on time and in full.
  • Build, coach, and inspire a motivated team, setting clear expectations and maintaining high operational standards.
  • Track KPIs, analyse performance data, and take proactive action to maintain productivity and quality targets.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to resolve issues, improve communication, and ensure an exceptional customer experience.
  • Drive structured improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, accuracy and team engagement.
  • Maintain strict safety, compliance and housekeeping standards across the shift.
About You
  • Experienced people leader with a track record managing large teams in a fast‑paced warehouse, logistics or fulfilment environment.
  • Confident, decisive and action‑oriented – able to set direction, hold others accountable and lead by example.
  • Strong communicator who can engage, motivate and influence at every level.
  • Comfortable balancing hands‑on leadership with data‑driven performance management.
  • A natural problem‑solver with the resilience and drive to thrive in a high‑growth operation.
  • Experience in D2C / eCommerce fulfilment or exposure to Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is advantageous.
  • Forklift certification is beneficial but not essential.
What’s in it for you?

This is a brilliant opportunity to join a rapidly scaling business at a pivotal moment of growth. For a confident and ambitious leader it’s a chance to make a real impact, shaping performance, improving processes and building a culture of operational excellence from the ground up.

In return you’ll receive:

  • Competitive salary (£45,000 – £55,000 DOE) + 10% performance bonus
  • 32 days holiday (including bank holidays)
  • Ongoing training and career development
  • Clear progression path into senior operational leadership roles

This business believes in developing leaders from within. For high performers this role offers clear progression routes into multi‑site or senior operational leadership as the company continues to expand nationally. You’ll gain exposure to Lean initiatives, structured leadership development and opportunities to shape how the fulfilment network evolves.

The process includes:

  • Screening and video interview with IMPACT EVOLVE
  • Introductory conversation with the business’ Head of Operations
  • Online skills assessment and on‑site interview
