Job Description: An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Operations Coordinator to join Peart Fencing Ltd, one of the UK's largest manufacturers and distributors of steel fencing systems, based in Hartlepool. With support from the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring materials are procured to the required specification, price and timeframe, and completed orders are delivered efficiently.

This permanent position is well suited to an individual who is confident under pressure and is looking to further their career, whilst gaining hands‑on experience in a thriving and supportive workplace.

Experience within a purchasing, logistics and/or operational environment is desirable, however full job specific training will be provided.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and appraise new and existing suppliers.
  • Track and manage stock control systems to ensure healthy stock levels.
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure material supply requirements are met.
  • Generate and issue purchase orders.
  • Provide costs to internal departments to effectively dispatch orders nationwide by our own transport or external haulers.
  • Liaise with internal departments and customers to co‑ordinate deliveries efficiently.
  • Plan our fleet of three HGVs delivery schedule.
  • Manage maintenance and consumables for company vehicles (CPC is not a requirement for this role).
  • Provide general administrative support where necessary.
The Person
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
  • Strong prioritisation skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Accurate work ethic, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Comprehensive understanding of MS Excel, MS Word and purchase order processing.
  • Experience within a purchasing, logistics and/or operational environment is desirable. Full job specific training will be provided.
