Overview

Operational Team Lead - Full-time, Permanent. This role is based in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin (STW) and is part of our Urgent Care Team. It is a permanent, full-time position focused on delivering high quality 24/7 service to patients and service users in the STW region.

Working from our regional Head Office in Telford, you will work with the Assistant Operations Manager to support all members of the Urgent Care Team and contribute to an efficient operation.

Responsibilities
  • Support and supervise all members of the Urgent Care team to deliver a high-quality service.
  • Guide and advise health and social care professionals to achieve the required outcomes for patients/clients.
  • Liaise with allied health and social care agencies to facilitate the patient/client journey through the HealthHero Integrated Care service or direct to the appropriate alternative service.
  • Supervise operational teams and act as the first point of reference to resolve issues during shifts.
  • Coordinate resources on shift to ensure a consistent and high level of service.
About You
  • Work autonomously and assist both external and internal stakeholders in achieving the appropriate outcome.
  • Remain calm and focused on service delivery during unpredictable workloads.
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of HealthHero Integrated Care policies and procedures related to the service and ensure the team adheres to them.
  • Communicate confidently, knowledgeably and courteously with all stakeholders.

Our Integrated Urgent Care (IUC) is a service for patients registered with a General Practitioner within the Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon, and Wiltshire Integrated Care System. We will commence Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin services on 1 October 2025, including GP Out of Hours and Care Coordination Services.
