OnSite Machinist – Scotland / North East of England

Onsite Machining role: a specialist in renewable and conventional energy markets. The role is based in Scotland or the North East of England with no workshop presence required.

Position
Carrying out all aspects of onsite machining including:
- Specialist OEM – hub connectors and compact flanges.
- Pipe cutting, bevelling and transitioning.
- Milling – pump bases, keyways and other components.
>Drilling and boring – stud removal, drilling and tapping.
- Line boring – compressor housings, crane alignment pins, specialist applications.
- Bespoke machining and engineering projects.
Requirements
- Knowledge and experience of ANSI/ASME standards.
- Ability to complete inspection reports and site documentation to a high level.
- Experience in preparing portable machine tools and maintaining equipment.
- Inspection and maintenance of tooling on return from site, ensuring equipment is stripped down, serviced and assembled.
- Capability to carry out mechanical surveys and identify solutions for in‑situ repairs.

Compensation
Retainer/basic salary plus onsite bonuses for every day on site with a client.
