Caledonia Recruitment are recruiting an Ocean Export Operator for our Freight Forwarding client based in Glasgow. The ideal candidate will be fully conversant in all aspects of Export operations and have a strong customs background, ensuring smooth and efficient transportation of goods. You will work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to offer top class customer satisfaction.

Position: Ocean Export Operator
Hours: 8:30 - 5pm
Salary: Up to £34,000 doe

Your Key Responsibilities As An Ocean Import Operator

• Coordinate and manage the shipment of goods via Export freight
• Booking Ocean Export from start to finish
• Track and update delivery statuses in the company's system and provide regular updates to clients
• Job invoicing and costing
• Prepare, track, and manage all documentation related to freight shipments, customs declarations and invoices
• Prepare and submit customs clearances
• Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations.
• Maintain accurate records
• Collaborate with internal teams to optimise freight processes and improve service delivery

Requirements

• A minimum of 1 years experience with a UK freight forwarder in ocean export freight
• The ability to problem solve and work effectively in a fast-paced environment and working to tight deadlines
