An educational services organization in Penryn is seeking a Nursery Team Leader to lead a dedicated team at their Nursery. The role requires a Level 3 qualification in Childcare, significant experience, and skills in managing a small team while fostering a stimulating environment for children aged 6 months to five years. Falmouth Exeter Plus are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Nursery Team Leader to join our friendly team at our Nursery at the Penryn campus. Our unique settings on both campuses provide warm, nurturing environments and high-quality childcare for children aged 6 months to five years. Ofsted rated ‘Good’, our nurseries are extremely popular and are led by a dedicated supportive team that create a warm, homely atmosphere that helps children to settle and thrive.
You will head up a small team of staff to deliver the daily curriculum in compliance with the Nursery’s standards, policies and procedures and in line with the requirements of Ofsted and the Early Years Foundation Stage. Working with parents and staff, you will ensure that all daily activities are conducted in a way which provides a happy, stimulating and secure learning environment for the children.

The successful candidate for this role will hold the NNEB, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent Level 3 qualification in Childcare, with relevant post qualification experience, preferably in a day nursery setting. It is essential that you are able to work on your own initiative and that you have a flexible approach to work, together with a good understanding of the importance of confidentiality. Alongside these key features you will be enthusiastic, passionate and full of ideas to encourage learning and development.

This position is a permanent, full-time, 37.5 hours per week position.
