Job summary

A leading consultancy firm in Scotland is seeking a Data Centre Design Manager to oversee the design process for data centre projects. You will coordinate stakeholders, manage technical deliverables, and ensure quality assurance throughout all project phases. The ideal candidate has at least 8 years of experience in large-scale data centre projects and strong skills in BIM and stakeholder management. This role includes travel to Norway and Finland.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years’ experience in design management for large-scale data centre or mission-critical infrastructure projects.
• Proven track record in managing design teams, BIM coordination, and technical submittals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full design package, ensuring compliance with client procedures and standards.
• Lead design meetings to ensure scope clarity.
• Manage BIM team for clash-free model development.
• Participate in Risk Review meetings, ensuring risk identification.
• Review and engage in the permit process.
