Qualifications

Overview of the role

Key duties
  • Providing personal care – including bathing, toileting, dressing and help with feeding
  • Medication administration
  • Assisting and getting involved in residents'daily activities, hobbies or outings
  • Following care plan guidance alongsideCompany policies and procedures
  • Developing an open, honest, and considerate working relationship with residents
  • Maintaining written daily records
  • Attending and completingtraining, as required

Where will youwork?

Little Heath Court is a bespoke service tailored to the needs of young people with autism and/or complex needs to support them in their transition to adulthood and prepare them for more independent living. Those living at Little Heath Court have access to plenty of communal space for leisure and socialising, including two lounges, a sensory room, a creative activity area, and a large garden with a trampoline and wheelchair-accessible nature trail. Close to the local village of Tilehurst, and the larger town of Reading, the location is ideal for young people looking to build their social networks and access educational and vocational opportunities. Residents enjoy a range of individual and group activities including board games, tapestry-making, reflexology, swimming, cycling, horse riding, country walks and social events like afternoon teas for visiting families. The home has its own transport for local travel and outings further afield.
