The Opportunity

We are looking for a Multi‑Skilled Engineer (Night Shift) to manage reactive, preventative, and planned maintenance across production lines, refrigeration systems, and site facilities, ensuring safe and efficient operation. You'll often work independently during night shifts, collaborating closely with the Production Shift Supervisor.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Carry out reactive, preventative, and planned maintenance on plant equipment.
  • Ensure compliance checks for cooling towers and wastewater facilities.
  • Optimise production line performance and maximise equipment up time.
  • Drive continuous improvement to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with production teams and provide updates on performance.
What We're Looking For:
  • UK‑approved engineering apprenticeship and 5+ years’ experience in a multi‑skilled role.
  • Electrical/mechanical expertise (60:40 split) and BS 7671 (17th/18th Edition) certification.
  • Strong fault‑finding skills across PLCs, SCADA, pneumatics, and conveyor systems.
  • Computer literacy and current MEWP/IPAF licenses.
  • Experience in food manufacturing (packing/weighing/sealers) highly desirable.
