Care Practitioner (Nights) – Oak Springs Care Home

Join our exceptional team at Oak Springs Care Home in Wavertree, a luxurious, purpose-built residential care home. We pride ourselves on delivering the highest standards of residential, respite, and dementia care for older people.

Our 74-bed home spans three floors with state-\u2014of-the-art facilities such as music rooms, a beauty salon, cozy lounges, and a serene courtyard. We are committed to fostering a vibrant and inclusive community where residents can thrive and where individuality is celebrated.

Job Details
  • Salary: £12.26 per hour
  • Shift: 8:00 pm–8:00 am
  • Schedule: 4 nights per week on a rolling rota, including some weekend work
Responsibilities
  • Supporting residents with personal care, hygiene and bedtime routines in a respectful and dignified manner.
  • Providing reassurance and companionship, particularly to those who need additional support during the night.
  • Monitoring and responding to residents’ needs, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the night.
  • Undertaking light domestic tasks to maintain cleanliness and order in the home.
  • Assisting with care plan administration and reporting any concerns or changes in well-being.
  • Participating in relevant training to enhance your skills and contribute to the team’s expertise.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure smooth handovers and consistent, person-centered care for our residents.
Qualifications
  • A compassionate and patient nature, with a positive attitude toward caring for others.
  • A genuine interest in health and social care – previous experience is a plus, but not essential, as training will be provided.
  • Reliability and flexibility to work night shifts, including weekends, as part of a supportive team.
  • Strong observation skills and the ability to respond calmly and confidently to varied situations.
