Job summary

A reputable care provider in Bristol is seeking a Night Carer to deliver high-quality personal care. The position involves working 24 hours per week with shifts from 8pm to 8am. We are looking for motivated individuals, with experience preferred but not necessary. You will benefit from a competitive pay rate starting at £12.70 per hour plus additional pay at weekends and bank holidays. A comprehensive training program is offered to support career development.

Qualifications

  • Experience of working with the elderly, preferably in a care home environment.
  • NVQ Health and Social Care level 2 training is offered.
  • Applicants without qualifications may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high quality personal care to residents.
  • Ensure a personalized experience for each resident.
  • Assist nursing staff in procedures.
  • Maintain dignity and privacy of residents.
  • Serve meals and drinks.
  • Assist with tasks for smooth home operations.
  • Participate in mandatory training.

We are currently looking for a Night Carer at Glebe House in Almondsbury.

Responsibilities and duties for the Carer role are:

  • Delivering high quality personal care to our residents
  • Ensuring that every individual within the home has a personalised and meaningful experience of life.
  • Participating in nursing procedures to assist our nursing staff
  • Maintaining the dignity and privacy of residents and respecting their individual needs
  • Assisting with serving meals and drinks
  • Assisting with other tasks as requested to ensure the smooth running of the home
  • Attending and participation in orientation, mandatory and other training as require

Requirements for the Carer role:

  • We are looking for experienced Care Assistants as well as motivated and enthusiastic individuals looking to start a career in care
  • We offer NVQ Health and Social Care level 2 training for other care staff.

Although we will consider applicants without qualifications or experience, the following would be an advantage:

  • Experience of working with the elderly, preferably in a care home environment
  • Level 2 qualification in health and social care or equivalent.

Hours

  • 24 hours per week.
  • 2 x 12 hour shifts - 8pm to 8am per week

PAY

As an employee (21 years +) new to care, working alternate weekends, you can expect a starting rate of £12.70 per hour

  • 10% additional pay at weekends
  • 50% extra pay on Bank holidays.
