Your primary responsibility will be to generate and close new business, ensuring a steady pipeline of opportunities for yourself and, where applicable, the wider sales team. Building on Embridge’s strong track record, you’ll drive the sale of our products and services across the UK Public Sector, including Local Government, NHS, non-departmental public bodies, Blue Light, Not-for-Profit, Higher Education, and Further Education. You will also identify and develop opportunities with customers outside these focus sectors, helping to grow our impact.

Working closely with the Marketing and Business Development teams, you will contribute to lead generation activities through broader campaigns and provide valuable insights from the market to help refine messaging and positioning.

Selling Unit4 ERP software is just one part of the wide portfolio of services we offer – you will also need to understand and leverage broader transformation services to meet the short, medium, and long-term needs of our customers, ensuring their success.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive, collaborative team environment, proudly certified as a Great Place to Work®, where your impact on new business and customer success will be recognised and celebrated.

Key responsibilities:
  • Identifying potential clients through research, networking, and industry insights.
  • Developing targeted outreach strategies to engage new prospects.
  • Developing a new business sales plan and strategy to win new logo license revenue in line with sales targets, taking ownership of a specific territory.
  • Effectively qualifying leads and identifying prospect needs, engaging technical resourcesas required.
  • Driving complex sales cycles, coordinating internal and partner teams across pre-sales, professional services, business development, marketing, product, and sales support.
  • Nurturing and qualifying leads based on company needs, budget, and decision-making process.
  • Maintaining accurate records of outreach efforts and lead status.
  • Leveraging your experience and consultative selling skills to build relationships with prospective customers and executive sponsors.
  • Delivering highly effective presentations to C-level executives and key decision makers, with a focus on the Office of the CFO.
  • Collaborating with customers to identify and demonstrate the business benefits of investing in our solutions.
  • Maintaining discipline in using internal CRM systems to ensure timely and accurate tracking of sales activity and status updates.
  • Staying up to date with all relevant technologies used by our technology partners and any developments in the sector, including maintaining an appropriate level of understanding of the solutions we provide.
  • Achieving or exceed quarterly quota targets.
  • Undertaking any other ad hoc duties as reasonably required by Leadership.

The above is not an exhaustive list of duties, and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the organisation and the overall business objectives of the organisation.

Essential skills:
  • 5+ years’ experience in B2B new business sales of ERP, HCM, or Financial SaaS/consulting.
  • Proven track record of selling to the UK Public Sector or not-for-profit organisations.
  • Expertise in complex, consultative solution selling and multi-year transformation programmes.
  • Familiarity with frameworks like SPIN, Challenger, or MEDDICC.
  • Ability to manage a full sales cycle, from prospecting through to close.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote setting and targeting sales quotas.
