NEC4 Site Supervisor to support a busy major projects team in Greater Manchester. The primary function of the role is to undertake the duties of the NEC4 ECC Supervisor in accordance with the NEC4 Engineering & Construction Contract.

It is expected that this will be a full-time role (40 hours per week) from 5th January 2026 to 28th February 2027. Please note there could be ad‑hoc evening or weekend work or, on occasion, extended working days to support the schemes construction programmes.

The NEC4 Site Supervisor should be suitably qualified with relevant experience.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that all construction activities are performed in compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders, including contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and the project management team.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of fostering a collaborative environment and engaging with stakeholders across various levels including the public.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.
  • Attend and contribute to site meetings, providing updates on site activities and progress.
  • Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily logs, inspection reports, and safety records.
  • Prepare and submit regular progress reports.
  • Ensure that all site activities comply with the contractual terms and conditions.
  • Assist in the management of change orders, compensation events, and other contractual issues.
  • Supervision of contractors on site and verification of valuations for completed works.
  • Continuous monitoring of traffic management arrangements and updating of the associated GMRAPS.
Qualifications
  • Experience of working on local authority schemes in Greater Manchester.
  • Experience of working on highways and transportation infrastructure projects, including walk/cycle schemes (essential).
  • Experience of working across multiple projects (up to five at any one time) simultaneously with construction values ranging from £100k to £5m (desirable).
  • Relevant NEC contract and/or professional qualifications.
  • Awareness of project and financial management, capable of inputting into project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls effectively.
  • Knowledgeable in CDM, health, safety, and environmental regulations, ensuring all projects comply with legal standards and best practices.
  • Driving licence and business insurance.
  • Appropriate level of CSCS Card or NEBOSH.
