Job description

This role offers an opportunity to develop your commercial skills through diverse cross-functional interactions, including taking responsibility for your own P&L.

Reporting to the National Account Controller, the National Account Executive collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, such as the JDE account and sales teams, Commercial Finance, Marketing, Demand Planning, and retailer buying teams, to design and implement growth strategies. The position is hybrid, based in Maidenhead (3 days a week), with travel to customer sites and internal events as needed.

At JDE, you'll work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment that values teamwork, celebrates successes, and supports each other. The role requires excellent organization, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and comfort with data analysis.

Working closely with the National Account Manager, National Account Controller, and planning functions, you will be responsible for planning and executing key activities within your account team, including:

  1. Promotional planning from setup and forecasting to tracking and evaluation to inform future strategies.
  2. Performance tracking, analyzing sales, market share, and competitor data to assess brand performance.
  3. System setup to ensure accurate product and pricing data across all platforms.
  4. Forecasting demand accurately to ensure appropriate stock levels at retail partners.
  5. Managing invoicing and accruals, linking customer agreements and promotional performance to ensure proper funding.
  6. Managing P&L and external relationships with smaller customers to build confidence and understand internal systems.
  7. Customer shopper activation management to maximize impact and gather insights on effectiveness and best practices.
  8. Supporting growth projects such as online optimization, convenience execution, and sales activation.
  9. Providing wider support to the National Account team, including new product setup, weekly sales calls, price and promo management, and cross-functional collaboration for seamless processes.
