A local healthcare trust in Nottingham is seeking a Multi-skilled Maintenance Craftworker (Builder/Joiner). This full-time position involves performing joinery maintenance and repairs across various sites, ensuring efficient services for both clinical and non-clinical facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in joinery work, a flexible approach, and the ability to work safely at heights. We currently have an opportunity available to join our Estates Team as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Craftworker (Builder/Joiner). You will undertake a broad range of joinery maintenance, repair and installation work using hand, power and machine tools as appropriate. The role offers a significant opportunity to contribute to the smooth functioning and maintenance of a range of engineering and building services in the Trust's clinical and non-clinical facilities. This role is critical to the Estates Department's maintenance support service and is demanding and varied as it covers a range of services.
Annual salary: £24,937 to £26,598, plus £3,500 per annum Recruitment & Retention Premia. You will also have the use of a Trust van, 27-33 days annual leave plus bank holidays and the opportunity to join the NHS pension scheme.
Operating as a mobile Multi-Skilled Maintenance Craftworker (Builder/Joiner), you will receive your work on a handheld device from the Estates and Facilities Helpdesk and Team Leader and will be expected to prioritise your daily workload, ensuring tasks are completed in the given priority. The role will predominantly include undertaking statutory and non-statutory planned preventative maintenance (with training if required).
You are expected to undertake multi-skilled works across Trust properties including working at heights and in adverse weather conditions, within your own competencies. Demonstrate all aspects of the joinery discipline together with a flexible and conscientious approach to working. Successful candidate will be based at Duncan Macmillan House but must be willing to work at any of the Trust's sites.
Will interpret work from drawings, instructions and specifications, diagnose faults and carry out necessary repair work. Essential understanding of other craft-person’s work in relation to their own discipline to provide consistent service when carrying out maintenance and minor work schemes.
