A local council in the United Kingdom is looking for a Mobile Custodian to ensure that council buildings are clean, safe, and functional. This role involves opening and closing buildings, conducting health checks, and supervising contractors. Candidates need to possess an SIA Door Guarding Licence. The position offers a salary between £25,989 to £28,598 per annum, along with a rich employee benefits package including generous holiday entitlement, a pension scheme, and flexible working options.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a recently restructured Facilities Management Team at West Suffolk Council. The role of Mobile Custodian is based at West Suffolk House in Bury St Edmunds; however, you would be required to cover custodial duties at other Council buildings in Mildenhall and Haverhill on a regular basis.
The purpose of the role is to ensure council buildings are clean, safe, secure and functional for those working within buildings managed by Property Services.
Part of the role will be to provide security support for council meetings and in buildings; therefore, the successful candidate will need to hold an SIA Door Guarding Licence and be willing to attend the course and exam.
We are looking for someone who is flexible, can work on their own initiative as well as part of a team, has excellent problem solving and communication skills and a can‑do attitude.
Week one:
Monday – Thursday: 6am – 2pm and Friday: 6am – 1.30 pm.
Week two:
Monday – Thursday: 12pm – 8pm and Friday: 12pm – 7.30pm.
