Job Summary

University Hospitals of North Midlands is currently unable to provide sponsorship for this role. The post holder will perform a range of routine and non‑routine tasks within Pathology and clinical areas following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including the Pathology Quality Policy. Duties include providing clerical and technical support to Biomedical Scientists to ensure a high‑quality service across all areas of Point of Care Testing (POCT).

Main Duties

• Sample receipt and preparation.
• Operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of POCT equipment.
• Updating information systems related to POCT.
• Adherence to written policies and procedures, particularly Health and Safety and Quality.
• Reception duties as and when required.
• Support and guidance to Pathology Support Workers.
• Efficient and flexible participation in POCT team activities.
