The Department of Psychiatry at Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA), a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School (HMS), is seeking an experienced and passionate Addiction Psychiatrist to serve as the Medical Director of Outpatient Addiction Services.

CHA is a nationally recognized, award-winning public healthcare system and one of the region’s leading providers of behavioral health and addiction services. Our system includes three hospital campuses and an integrated network of primary and specialty outpatient care practices in Cambridge, Somerville, and MCREW communities. We use a fully integrated electronic medical record system (EPIC) to enhance patient care.

Position Overview:

The Medical Director of Outpatient Addiction Services will provide clinical and administrative leadership for addiction treatment services within the outpatient setting. This role will oversee the integration of evidence-based, population-based, and harm reduction approaches to addiction care, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered treatment for an underserved and diverse population. The Medical Director will also support teaching and research efforts related to addiction psychiatry.

Qualifications:
  • Board Certification in Psychiatry (Addiction Psychiatry certification preferred).
  • Experience in addiction treatment and leadership in a clinical setting.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to serving diverse and underserved populations.
Academic & Compensation Details:
  • Harvard Medical School (HMS) faculty appointment (commensurate with qualifications).
