The Role

The BOM (Bill of Materials) Team Administrator is responsible for reviewing, interpreting, and maintaining customer Bills of Materials and associated data packs. This role ensures that all data is accurately transposed into the company’s ERP system, supports production and procurement through the creation of accurate part databases, and collaborates with NPI (New Product Introduction) and production teams to maintain high‑quality, usable data for manufacturing operations.

  • Assess incoming customer documentation to ensure all necessary information is present and accurate.
  • Detect inconsistencies, missing information, or errors, and liaise with relevant stakeholders to resolve them.
  • Input and configure BOM data into the ERP system, verifying completeness and accuracy.
  • Generate database entries for components used in production engineering and procurement, ensuring data integrity and standardization.
  • Work closely with these teams to develop clean, usable data packs that align with production and engineering requirements.
  • Update and amend BOM and ERP data promptly in response to approved customer change requests.
  • Ensure all BOMs and related documentation adhere to internal and customer quality requirements.
  • Contribute to the development of improved BOM management and data handling processes.
About You
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or production environment.
  • Strong understanding of BOM structures and product data management.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Epicor, or similar).
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data handling.
  • Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience supporting NPI processes.
  • Familiarity with engineering drawings and documentation standards.
  • Basic understanding of procurement or production planning workflows.
