Management Accounts Officer - Fixed Term Contract

Type: Temporary Fixed Term 3 Months (until April 2026)

Band/Salary: JNC Band 5 / £32,391pa

Hours: 37 per week (Hybrid-Flexible)

Location: Edinburgh/Hybrid

We’re looking for an assistant to our finance business partners to join us on a temporary basis for a minimum of 3 months. You’ll be right at the heart of our finance operations – keeping our records in great shape and helping us make smart financial decisions that support the important work we do.

What we are looking for:

We’re looking to hire an experienced finance professional with a hands‑on approach, organised, detail‑focused, and love making numbers work.

This role will support our Finance Business Partners for Management Accounts, who prepare the monthly accounts, forecasts and budgets, and offer meaningful financial information for improved decision making and planning, whilst supporting the day to day operations of a busy charity finance function. We are looking for someone to:

  • Assist with the month end process by preparing and posting accurate journals
  • Assist in maintaining accurate and detailed balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist preparing various monthly financial reports for various stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate records of our pricing schedules
  • Assist with the role out of the rate uplift process for the next financial year
  • Assist our service managers with updating/setting up new customer rates on our systems
  • Confirm billing raised by services matches our agreed rates
  • Work with different teams across the organisation to assist with finance queries
