Qualifications

• Must have a UK Post Graduate Award in Mammography.
• At least 2 years of proven postgraduate radiography experience required.
• Experience in mentoring and teaching is essential.

Responsibilities

• Produce high standards of mammography and patient care.
• Manage the safe operation of imaging equipment.
• Participate in MDT meetings regarding patient management.

Skills

Knowledge of Breast anatomy and diseases

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Ability to perform high volume, quality mammography to NHSBSP standards

Working knowledge of National Breast Screening System (NBSS)

Education

BSc or DCR (R) in Radiography

Current HCPC registration

Cert. of Competence in Mammography/Post Graduate Award in Mammography
