Job description

Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking a passionate Support Worker to join our incredible team at our Boston 1 Service in Lincolnshire. Due to the requirements of those supported, we require a male support worker on this occasion.

As a Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs.

From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, you’ll play a vital role in their life.

A driver is required as you will be providing community support. You must be able to do sleep-in shifts when they are part of your assigned rota. You will be providing a small amount of personal care.

What we’re looking for
  • A genuine passion for supporting others.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts.
  • A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
Contract options
  • This is a full-time position (37.5 hrs). Shifts will include weekdays, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins.
  • For sleep-ins you will receive an enhanced flat rate payment of £63.70.

*All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references.

*Due to the nature of this service, we are looking for male only applicants. This post is exempt under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1.
